A meal will not be complete without dessert to top it off. But when preparing dessert is the least of your priority, ready to eat sweets and fresh fruits will just have to do. We usually have some chocolate bars and candies around the house to make sure that we always have sweet endings for our meals. One of my recent favorites is the Toffifee candy from Storck.
I first had a taste of Toffifee a few years back when I bought one from a duty free shop. It is a chewy caramel candy with chocolate, nougat and hazelnut on it. But since it wasn’t widely available back then I only got to enjoy them once in a while. Nowadays, its easy to find these caramel treats in groceries or candy shops. There are several things that I love about it, one is that they have three of my favorite ingredients in a dessert and that is chocolate, caramel, and hazelnut. It’s the exact opposite of caramel filled chocolates, they are caramel cups filled with chocolate and a hazelnut at the center of the chocolate filling. The perfect combination is not the only thing to love in these cups, the varying textures of chewy nougat and caramel cups, soft chocolate, and crunchy hazelnut create a lovely medley as one nibbles on these treats.
My niece was able to try it out for the first time when she came to visit last week and became a fan too. She even revised her Christmas wish list for it, and now has a complete set of Michael Scott’s Flamel series and one year supply of Toffifee Candy marked as her preferred presents for the holidays.
