Aside from Kamirori Restaurant, Teriyaki Boy is one of the Japanese Restaurants that my 7 year old niece likes to visit. It was also one of my favorite dine in places when I began to appreciate Japanese food about a decade ago. The casual dining ambiance, friendly service, and chicken teriyaki are some of the reasons why I keep coming back to this restaurant even after I have gotten over my fascination with Japanese food. This time I get to revisit and enjoy their flavors in the company of a mini-foodie.
Teriyaki Boy offers Japanese food with a bit of Filipino twist. You can expect the usual sushi, sashimi, ramen, tempura and rice topping choices in their menu. There are also a couple of omega 3 foods and salad in their menu for those who want healthy options. For our meal, we ordered Miso soup, Kani Salad, Chicken Teriyaki, Chashu Ramen, California Roll, and Shake Sashimi. As always the chicken teriyaki was a hit for both of us. My niece finished off the ramen and I took care of the Sashimi. I would have gotten some Tempura Tuna Sahimi Tartare and Ebi Tempura but we already had a lot on our plates as it is. Anyway there is always a next time with restaurants like Teriyaki Boy. There may be nothing extraordinary in their food or menu but this Japanese Restaurant offers casual dining experience that is great for ordinary days and special occasions as well.
