Fresh from celebrating the National Pasta Month last October, the Fly Ace team serves up another round of treats for foodies with the Dona Elena Cuisinera Club Holiday Special. Guests who attended the event enjoyed the food tasting before and after the program, informative talks on healthy eating, live cooking demo, fun games, and raffle draws with prizes from Fujidenzo. Here are some of the highlights of the event.
- Food Tasting and Games at Doña Elena Booths. Guests trooped to the food booths stationed at the entrance of the venue to sample some pasta, nachos and dips made from quality products of Doña Elena . The first booth featured a game called Bob the Olives and Capers Game which challenges the participants to transfer as many olives and capers as they can from one bowl to another. The time limit and record score to beat adds excitement to the game. The next two stations featured food samples with Doña Elena Anchovies and Sardines, as well as Nachos and Salsa made from Doña Elena Peeled Tomatoes. The last food booth offered Carbonara and Pene Pasta made with Al Dente Pasta and a guessing game.
- Informative Talks on Healthy Meals. Guest speakers and Fly Ace Corp. Product Managers gave us a lot of tips on how to enjoy food without compromising your health. Ms. Karen Saguiped, Product Manager for Noodles, Pasta, Condiments, and Sauces, talked about the benefits of having products that make it easy for homemakers to whip-up healthy and flavorful meals. She also showed how Doña Elena products and the Dona Elena Cuisinera Club can be your partners in providing healthier meals for the family. Professor Luchi Callanta was very engaging in her talk about healthy eating habits, dealing with buffets and parties this holiday season, and managing your food intake without sacrificing meal enjoyment.
- Live-Cooking Demo. Doña Elena resident chef, Golda Laurel Liamzon showed us how easy it is to whip up healthy meals fit for your Noche Buena Table. Bloggers and Dona Elena Cuisinera Club members also showed their cooking prowess by volunteering to help Chef Golda in the demo. Four flavorful recipes were featured in the demo which included the Lengua Estofado, Salmon Ceasar Salad, Mediterranean Lasagna, and Chocolate Chip Olive Oil Cookies. Everyone got to taste all the dishes featured in the demo as food trays were served at the end of the program. It was difficult to choose the best dish because they all tasted great.
We left the event with our tummies and taste buds satisfied, and thoughts filled with healthy recipes that we could not wait to try at home.
